How do I get back into better diabetes control?
I have had juvenile diabetes since I was 3 years old I am now 20 . Up until I went to college, I was in very good control. My doctors were always very impressed, and it really wasn't that hard for me to keep my numbers within range. Then, I went to college when I was 18 and everything just fell apart. My A1C's have skyrocketed, and I try to change but I just can't. I feel so out of control and overwhelmed. The slightest, easiest things before seem like such a chore. My numbers are all over the place, and I can feel it in my body. This has been going on now, pretty consistently, for the past 2 years. What can I do to motivate myself to change? I don't want to die this way...

Type 1 Diabetes Control?
I'm a type 1 diabetic, who was diagnosed in early 2004. I've had a great control of my diabetes, but my HBA1C has started to climb. I've been slowly rising from 6.4 for about 2 years, and am now at 10.2. I've only ever had 2 major lows, and less than a dozen results above 30.So now I'm adjusting my insulin to cover highs of about 15.0 at 6pm.I'm not sure wither to increase my morning long lasting insulin protaphane to cover it, or be doing an afternoon injection of novorapid instant acting insulin .If there are any diabetics with advice or a doctor with a solid answer, please let me know. All the advice I've had so far as not been a solid answer. I believe an afternoon injection is the answer, but my mother thinks it's the morning one to be increased. Thank you.
