Question: Do i have diabetes?????????

I had a energy drink just over a year ago and i got a sugar rush. i have slowly been getting more tired so around May last year i got a blood test for anemia and the results came back negetive. I have been getting even more tired latly so today i tried a energy drink to try wake me up, nothing happened so i had another one and again no difference at all. i just got more tired after them. My mum thinks it could be a type of diabeties as it goes down in the family on my dads side, what do you think?

Tiredness is just one symptom of Diabetes and is not really enough to say yes it is. However my Mum felt shattered for a long time yet couldn't sleep and recently found out she has an Under-active thyroid. Tiredness can be linked to many things and could just mean you need to rest a bit more and have a few early nights. However if you are worried you should really go to a Doctor and get a test done I asked a similar question on here and was given the same advice and whilst I have not yet had a full blown test I am glad I had a quick check up and booked the test as I am already changing my diet on nurse's orders and has helped a lot. even if the results are negative your Doctor will have a better idea of what to do more than 99% of users on here and it is better to have it done then not and face more problems later.

Fatigue as an isolated symptoms does not indicate diabetes. You need to look at other possibilities.

If you are concerned just go to your doctor and get tested. It's a simple test.
