Question: If you are getting tested for diabetes, how long does it take after your blood test to get you results?

I heard it takes about 10 minutes for the doctor to find out, but i'm not sure. I'm getting tested later, and I would like to know. Could it possibly take days?

The simple blood test at the doctor's office can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. Depends on if the doctor's office has the testing equipment or not. If you are getting a glucose tolerance test, you find out in as little as 30 minutes, depending on how busy the lab is. If at any time your blood glucose is over 200, no need to wait for 'official' diagnosis. You are, in all respects, diabetic. When you get the test, ask them how long it takes fort he results.

It depends what test it is. If you're getting a proper blood test it generally takes a few working days depending on how busy the lab is.
