Is it True that even if i keep my Sugar level normal, i eventually will die from diabetes soon?
i asked my doctor and he said as long as i have a normal Sugar level i can live like anyone else. but i read somewhere that even though its normal, a diabetic will die soon, and exercising and a healthy diet only slow down the process, but eventually you will die young from it im still 23 years old and been recently diagnosed with type 2. and i am scared that i might die young from it i am exercising and on a healthy diet and my sugar level is always normal
Do you think I have diabetes?
I thought for a while that I had it. But, recently my old symptoms have dissappeared. But tonight they came back. Here's what happened. I ate dinner at 6pm then I worked out at 8 30, I always do. But this time, as soon as I was almost finished 8 58 I suddenly felt a huge drop in blood sugar. I became weak, could hardly stand, I felt dizzy and like I had a fever, my hands were shaking, and I was hungry. This never happens, because I always work out at this time and usually have a nice yogurt for a snack after. However, tonight after this episode occured I ate a yogurt, chocolate muffin, and 10 ritz crackers. It has been thirty minutesnow and I am not shaking any more. I also have to urinate frequently all of a sudden. I can eat sugar by the way Do you think these are signs of diabetes? Thank you
Can I still drink alcohol if I have diabetes?
I'm going to the Doctors because I think I might have Diabetes and I was wondering if I can still drink at the weekends if it turns out I do? I tend to binge drink, but would this be ok I if drink spirits with diet juice like diet coke? I also smoke will this effect diabetes? P.s I know I smoking and binge drinking are bad for me but hey I'm young so no lectures please I love how angry people get just because some one smokes and drinks Oh and btw I don't drink it " straight up" because I like to enjoy my drink after a stressfull week. A friend of mine adult asked me what was wrong, and I explained how I'm thirsty a lot and sometimes very hungry after eating, and I can be irritable, also. Last night I kept on waking up about every thirty minutes sweating. I have to admit I kind of eat a lot of sugar but I'm not sure... Should I be checked for diabetes??? Are any of these symptoms??? Whenever I'm eating a meal, I always have to have some kind of sweet or carb. It's not really a craving. I feel like my body actually needs it. I get extremely irritated, agitated, sweaty, and anxious. For example, If I'm eating chicken and a vegetable, I need bread of some kind. I'm constantly craving for bread. I'm a bit underweight but not by much. I'm 5'7 and 112 lbs. I thought I was tested for diabetes before but it came up negative. My dad has type 2 diabetes so I know it's not genetic. Any ideas??
What could be causes of extreme unquenchable thirst other then diabetes?
I could drink loads and loads of water but it dosen't matter i'll still be thirsty a minute later.I have cut all drinks which contain sugar. I have also cut my salt intake drastically.
