Are high insulin levels a good thing AFTER workout?
obviously your body needs highly glycemic foods after a workout simple carbs to replace muscle glycogen, but naturally this raises insulin levels. i have read that this, necessarily, increases the rate of delivery of nutrients to muscles or something along those lines. so an insulin surger would be a good thing after workout?

What does high level of insulin indicate.?

Need some advice concerning trying to get on an insulin pump?
I've been told that i need to try a few more things first such as a change of injection sites which to be honest does seem to have improved the predictability of insulin absorption, and that i need to test less and be a little calmer and happier before they " consider" letting me get one.Although moving the injection sites has helped, and it is best for me to lay of the testing a bit, I still firmly belive that getting onto an insulin pump would help me control blood sugar levels much better. I have a very good theoretical understanding of how pumps work and my current insulin injection regime has been hit and miss since I was put on it in 2006.with an insulin pump I would no longer have to inject, I could be more specific and fine tune my basal doseage much more flexiablely than with a lantus injection and I could be less worried about exercising within a novo rapid peak time, hence greatly reduced risks of hypos. So i just don't understand the problem? To be fair I have only just changed hospitals and the staff don't really know me and my situation too well yet. I know I will have to be patient but I find it very hard. any advice, or relevant information that may help will be appreciated thanks.

Changing insulin needs?
I knot that people's insulin needs change over time, but it seems like I have different needs everyday I am ranging from needing 1.5u to 2.5u of Novolog per carb. The same thing goes with my sliding scale sometimes I am hypoglycemic after an hour, other times it takes repeated doses to get me where I need to be. Other than being brittle, is there a reason behind this?
